An HTC phone with Android may at least have a chance at converting someone (althought probably not through an ad), but I still think iPhone is safe for now. Hardware and UI aside even, it’s still all about the apps.
It’s all about user experience. Having used both a (modern) BlackBerry and an Android device for a long period of time, I can safely say that neither come close to the “pick me up and use me” narrative that exists around the iPhone. The fact that that exists is why there’s the app ecosystem.
