Responsive Web Design for Mobile

The Internet isn’t just on computers anymore. (Well, phones are pretty much computers now. But you know what we mean.)

Mobile web traffic has nearly tripled year over year for the past three years. Now is the time for you to consider mobile website design. The thing is, there are so many devices on the market, from iPhones to Android smartphones to iPads and even iPod touches, each a little bit different than the next. How can you create a great mobile web design for all of them?

This is where responsive web design comes in. It isn’t separate mobile design, but a way to design a website so that it adapts to fit pretty much any screen size and still look good and function properly. The major benefit of responsive design — next to a more engaging experience — is that your site still lives under one roof, so to speak. There's no separate mobile websites to manage, meaning it's easier on your part, more cost effective, and you can use your favourite CMS or blog platform like WordPress just as you normally would.
