When we first heard that Obladee was opening up in town we were excited. A wine bar in the middle of downtown Halifax was a refreshing deviation from the standard pubs and taverns and empty spaces. We could taste the wine on our lips.
Now imagine how excited we were to get to work with them. We took this as an exciting opportunity to expand on a lovely brand and communicate the unique nature of Obladee.
One of the most important parts, if not the most important, is the menu. Making it useful for visitors and simple to edit without having to muddle around with the WordPress editor was key. For the newsletter we set up a MailChimp campaign with a custom-designed signup process to match the brand.
As something people might look up on the go, so a mobile version was an obvious fit. We saw a chance to do a really attractive responsive design with layouts each of the major devices on the market: desktop/laptop, netbook/smaller screen, iPad/tablet, and smartphone. It looks awesome on each and works really well with the overall design concept.
